At the Upper Yampa Water Conservancy District, grants represent a vital avenue for driving forward our mission of responsible water management and environmental stewardship. These grants empower our communities to embark on innovative projects that span conservation, infrastructure enhancement, and community engagement.

In 2025, UYWCD awarded over $500K to projects in the Yampa River Basin, which included a special $250K award for spillway improvements at Sheriff's Reservoir to ensure safe and reliable drinking water to the Town of Oak Creek.

The UYWCD Board of Directors has already awarded $125,000 in grant funding in 2026!
